12-21; Haiku Day fun!

Bring on the presents!

I'm playing with my virtual cat I got for my birthday. She's cute. I got asian snacks, marmalade, and a Japanese placemat. So cool!

The coolest thing, though, was my sushi party. I invaded Heather's place, invited a bunch of friends over, she invited a bunch of friends over, and I rolled sushi for everybody!

Cucumber
Avocado
Smoked Salmon (this was gooooooood!)
Shrimp
Fake crabmeat

It was all good!

I love rolling sushi. These parties are the best social times. We all seem to be really happy when I throw a sushi party.

Of course there was wasabi, soy sauce, sesame seeds, chips of all sorts, and a cheese ball for the less adventurous. Some had to cancel for several good reasons, so we kept on calling people to say, "Hey! Do you want to eat sushi?" We managed to fill the house. Everyone had fun.

I said that sushi birthdays are the best birthdays. (The gingerbread dough is still in Heather's refrigerator--we'll make it later) Heather said I should have birthdays more often. I said, "Tell me how often you want me to have a birthday, and I'll come roll sushi for you!"

I was surrounded by wonderful, happy friends, and that's what counted.
